OUR OPERATIONS

As a substitute staff member in Tranås Municipality, you make a significant contribution. You will learn to take responsibility, increase your ability to collaborate, and develop your interaction skills with people. If you are interested in working as an hourly substitute, you are welcome to submit your application. You may be contacted if there is a need for substitutes in our operations.

Within Tranås Municipality, you as a substitute have the opportunity to work within the following operations:

• Elderly care (home help services and special housing)
• Support and care (group and service housing, housing support, personal assistance, and day activities)
• Preschool
• School

QUALIFICATIONS

You should have a genuine interest in meeting people and helping them in their daily lives. Important qualities include customer service skills, flexibility, and responsibility.

You must be at least 18 years old and able to work regularly. According to the Work Environment Act Chapter 5, Section 3, and AFS 2023:2 Chapter 8, these tasks cannot be performed by minors; therefore, we are looking for candidates who are at least 18 years old.

Good knowledge of the Swedish language is required.

Personal suitability is given great weight.

We view it positively if you have ongoing or completed upper secondary education, for example within healthcare and social care or child and youth care. It is also positive if you have previously worked within healthcare and social care or within preschool and school, but even you without experience are welcome to apply.

DUTIES

Your duties as a substitute may vary slightly depending on which operation you work in. Within healthcare and social care, the work involves providing support and assistance to our users. Within preschool and school, it involves supporting the development of children and young people. Regardless of which of our operations you work in, it includes performing documentation and communication to varying degrees, which is why good knowledge of the Swedish language is important. The work may involve physically and mentally demanding tasks such as heavy lifting, working alone, and shifts during evenings and nights. According to the Work Environment Act Chapter 5, Section 3, and AFS 2023:2 Chapter 8, these tasks cannot be performed by minors; therefore, we are looking for candidates who are at least 18 years old.

EMPLOYMENT AND SALARY

Hourly employment. Salary is discussed during the interview or when an employment offer is made.

Working hours vary depending on the operation and needs.

Do you have post-secondary education? If not, you will need to take a language test if you are to work within the healthcare and social care administration and the child and education administration. If you become a candidate for the hourly substitute position, you will need to present a certificate of conduct (extract from the police record). You order this from the Police. You will receive more information about which certificate is required for the position during the process.
