Do you want to work with advanced product development where software, physics, and electronics meet? Do you want to help develop systems that control extremely precision-demanding machines within semiconductor and display manufacturing? We are now looking for a Product Developer who wants to work close to both hardware and software in an environment where performance, quality, and rapid iterations are crucial.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
You will become part of a team that develops software and systems for so-called mask writers – advanced production systems used to create photomasks for semiconductors and large displays.
The team is responsible for software for processing lithographic datasets for data management, analysis, control, and exposure, which places high demands on precision, performance, and stability.
The role spans the entire product development chain – from idea and prototype to final delivery. You will work on both new development and improvement of existing products, with a focus on being able to quickly test, iterate, and realize ideas in practice.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and optimize algorithms within image processing and machine learning
- Work with performance-critical systems and parallel processing (GPU/CUDA)
- Process and compare image data against references with high accuracy requirements
- Develop and maintain software in e.g., C, C++, and Java
- Work closely with hardware (computers, optics, electronics), operating systems, and networks in complex system environments
- Write test cases, measure performance, and drive improvement work
- Collaborate closely with teams, internal stakeholders, and international colleagues
WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO:
- Have several years of experience in product development, preferably in hardware-near environments
- Have experience with machine learning and image processing
- Have good programming skills, for example in C, C++, or Java
- Have experience with or interest in GPU programming (e.g., CUDA)
- Understand how physical limitations affect technical systems
- Hold an engineering degree in, for example, technical physics, electrical engineering, computer science, or similar
- Speak and write English fluently (Swedish is a plus)
WE BELIEVE YOU ARE:
An engineer driven by building working products – not just writing code. You like to take an idea and quickly make it concrete, test it, and improve it.
You thrive in a fast-paced environment with frequent releases and understand the importance of working with incremental development and frequent integrations.
You are curious, solution-oriented, and have a strong focus on quality.
As a person, you are unpretentious and team-oriented – you are happy to help where needed and contribute to the team's collective success.
ABOUT THE TEAM AND OFFER:
You will become part of a cross-functional team with expertise in development, testing, DevOps, and system design. The team works with complex, customer-critical systems where every delivery is of great significance.
Here you will work in a technologically advanced environment with unique products, where the combination of software, hardware, and physics creates exciting challenges every day. The culture is characterized by openness, collaboration, and a desire to constantly improve both products and working methods.
About the employment:
This is a consulting assignment, which means you will be employed by Friday and work as a consultant at our client's site. Our and the client's ambition is that you will eventually become a direct employee of the company.
