This is a consultancy position with good opportunities for permanent employment. Initially, you will be employed by Bravura, and it is explicitly stated that Snabggross intends to offer you a permanent position with them in the future. Today, Snabbgross has 31 stores from Luleå in the north to Malmö in the south, approximately 600 employees, and a growing e-commerce platform that reaches large parts of the country. Together with, among others, Willys, Hemköp, and Dagab, they are part of Axfood – one of the largest players in the Swedish grocery retail sector.
Responsibilities
In the role of Category Manager, you belong to the sales department and report to the Sales Manager. You will become part of a team of seven people at the support office in Stockholm and play a central role in developing the offer for restaurant kitchens across the country.
You are responsible for the assortment, pricing, and campaigns within the categories of Tobacco, Confectionery, Snacks, and Non-food. With a focus on the private food service market, you actively work to create an attractive and competitive offer.
Through analysis, supplier dialogues, and good market understanding, you ensure the right assortment mix and drive both sales and profitability. You collaborate closely with Axfood's category managers, suppliers, and stores to further develop the offer and strengthen the market position.
You have overall responsibility for sales and gross profit within your categories and work actively with campaign negotiations, trend monitoring, and assortment development. The role also involves participating in Axfood's review meetings and supporting stores with product knowledge and upselling. In addition, you are involved in development and improvement projects, either as a participant or a driving force.
Main Responsibilities:
- Responsible for assortment, pricing, and campaigns
- Ensure an attractive assortment mix within your categories
- Negotiate supplier campaigns for all channels
- Follow market trends and analyze customer needs
- Collaborate with category managers, suppliers, and stores
- Participate in and drive issues in Axfood's review meetings
- Support stores with product knowledge and upselling
- Contribute to development and improvement projects
Education, Experience, and Personal Qualities
- Completed post-secondary education in economics, logistics, purchasing, or equivalent
- Experience in a similar role in category management, purchasing, supply chain, or similar
- Genuine interest in the restaurant industry and food in general
- Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
- Good knowledge of the Office package, specifically Excel
- Retail experience is an advantage
