About the School

International English School (IES) in Solna is a comprehensive school covering grades 4–9 with approximately 700 students.

At IES Solna, we work to ensure that all our students achieve their full academic potential in a safe and calm learning environment. To make IES Solna a successful school, we utilize the students' various competencies, experiences, and diverse backgrounds, as well as their thoughts and feedback, in our work.

The Team

You will be part of a teaching team where time is allocated for jointly developing teaching methods and classroom leadership. As a teacher with us, you find it enjoyable, stimulating, and rewarding to teach students from different parts of the world, giving each student the opportunity to develop based on their own prerequisites and abilities.

Together with your colleagues, you create the conditions for students' knowledge development to meet the goals of the curriculum.

Qualifications

We are now looking for a certified comprehensive school teacher with subject competence in French. Competence in other subjects is an advantage. The position is a part-time temporary position (20%) during the academic year 2026/27.

You have a positive view of people and the ability to build good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians. As a teacher with us, you find it enjoyable, stimulating, and rewarding to teach students from several different countries and give each student the opportunity to develop based on their own prerequisites and abilities.

• You plan, implement, and evaluate teaching, and work to create a safe and stimulating learning environment.
• You take responsibility for systematically documenting, analyzing, evaluating, and following up on students' knowledge development.
• You take initiative and have clear leadership in the classroom.
• You are clear and precise in your communication and have the ability to motivate and inspire students to acquire new knowledge.
• You can express yourself well in both spoken and written Swedish and English.
• You have good knowledge of ICT as a pedagogical tool.
