Personal Assistant Wanted – Help Create an Active and Meaningful Everyday Life

We are looking for you who want to become an important part of the daily life of an active 26-year-old man. He needs support in all aspects of his daily life, but in return offers great joy, energy, and warmth.

As a personal assistant, your task is to encourage and enable participation. The client is non-verbal, which makes it especially important that you are attentive, empathetic, and able to pick up on his will, needs, and signals. Communication takes place using signs and pictures, which are actively used in daily life.

The work involves support and assistance in all daily activities, such as:

• Personal hygiene and care
• Household chores
• Hobbies and social activities
• Structure, safety, and supervision during all hours of the day and night

The client enjoys listening to music, bathing, playing football, and painting, and as an assistant, you play a key role in facilitating and encouraging these interests.

Working hours are scheduled during the day, evening, night, and weekends, as the client requires 24-hour supervision.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is engaged and respects the client's self-determination
• Is attentive, patient, and responsive
• Has the ability to interpret and follow the client's initiatives
• Is comfortable working closely with a person with high support needs
• Is proficient in Swedish, both spoken and understood

Experience in personal assistance, AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication), or work with disabilities is advantageous, but personal suitability is the most important factor.

About the position

• Employment level: Part-time/Full-time.
• Working hours: 24-hour coverage with on-call duty of 4 hours/night.
• Salary: Fixed hourly wage according to agreement, other compensations according to collective agreements.
• Start date: According to agreement, for the duration of the assistance assignment.
