Job Description

As a Vehicle Tester for our client in Eskilstuna, you are responsible for conducting tests and inspections on passenger cars to ensure functionality, safety, and quality prior to delivery or after repairs. You will work in a workshop environment alongside technicians and administrative staff, where attention to detail, clear documentation, and problem-solving are central. The role involves practical test drives, diagnostics, and verification of completed actions.

Main Responsibilities

• Conduct test drives and functional tests according to checklists and routines.
• Perform diagnostics using diagnostic tools and interpret fault codes.
• Inspect brakes, steering, lighting, tires, electronics, and other safety-critical components.
• Document test results in the workshop system and report deviations or the need for further actions.
• Collaborate with technicians to reproduce faults, suggest measures, and verify completed repairs.
• Ensure order and safety in the work area, adhering to the company's routines for working environment and environmental management.

Qualifications

• Education in vehicle technology or equivalent practical experience from a workshop is meritorious.
• Experience in troubleshooting or vehicle testing is desirable.
• Good computer skills for documentation in administrative systems.
• Ability to communicate clearly in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.
• Meticulous, safety-conscious, and solution-oriented with strong teamwork skills.
• Class B driver's license (manual transmission).
