ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are currently seeking an Automation Engineer for a technology-intensive operation with complex facilities and high demands for operational reliability. You will become part of an experienced team with broad competence in electrical engineering and automation, where collaboration and knowledge sharing are a natural part of everyday life. The role involves significant personal responsibility and the opportunity to influence how automation work is conducted moving forward.

In this position, you will work closely with investment projects where you are responsible for the automation aspect, acting both as a requirement setter and as a technical specialist. You will play a key role in developing and standardizing working methods, while also contributing operationally to technical solutions. The work is varied and includes both strategic and practical elements.

Responsibilities:

• Take responsibility for the automation aspect in investment projects
• Act as a technical requirement setter and ensure deliveries from external parties
• Participate in design, programming, and commissioning as needed
• Develop and standardize working methods, system structures, and documentation
• Troubleshoot and support the operation in case of operational issues
• Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers

WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• At least 5 years of experience in automation, preferably in process or industrial environments
• Good knowledge of electrical engineering and automation systems
• Experience working in projects, preferably investment projects
• System proficiency, for example in PLC/SCADA (e.g., Siemens or similar)
• A post-secondary education in a relevant field, or equivalent work experience
• Good proficiency in Swedish and English, as both languages are used in the role

Not strictly required, but advantageous if you have:

• Experience working strategically with standardization and system architecture
• Experience from operations with high demands for operational reliability
• Experience in setting requirements for suppliers

ABOUT THE EMPLOYMENT:

This is a consultancy assignment, meaning you will be employed by Friday and work as a consultant at our client's site.
