Are you our new colleague?
We are looking for midwives and midwifery students who are passionate about providing safe and high-quality care to women, newborns, and the new family.
We have strengthened our core staffing and have vacancies for temporary and permanent positions with varying degrees of employment in three shifts, including work every third weekend. The Delivery Department at Sykehuset Østfold is the country's 6th largest, with just over 3,000 deliveries per year. We have a dynamic work environment focused on normal deliveries and specialized delivery care.
We can offer an exciting and challenging workplace with good colleagues and a good work environment. You will work with all parts of delivery care, such as observation of inpatients, normal deliveries, specialized delivery assistance, and postnatal care. We focus heavily on quality, professional development, and interdisciplinary collaboration/teamwork. Our goal is to take care of the whole family and provide safe and good delivery and postnatal care.
With us, you will encounter a consolidated women's clinic. In addition to the delivery and maternity ward, we also have a gynecological department with 9 beds. We have extensive surgical operations, including day surgery, and our own operating room in the outpatient clinic. We have operations both at Kalnes and in Moss. Annually, we have approximately 26,500 outpatient consultations, consisting of delivery outpatient clinic, postnatal outpatient clinic, acute delivery/gynecological outpatient clinic, urodynamics outpatient clinic, and gynecological outpatient clinic.

Workplace and Scheduling
Sykehuset Østfold, Kalnes, is located about a 50-minute drive from Oslo and about 30 minutes from Strömstad. There are good public transport connections nearby. We have a preference schedule. For those who desire more flexibility during the day, there is the possibility of more night shifts in the schedule/pure night schedule. We are currently investigating solutions with, among other things, 12.5-hour shifts that can provide the opportunity to work more compactly and have longer periods of leave, especially if you live some distance from the hospital.
Current candidates are called for interviews on an ongoing basis, and employment can take place before the application deadline expires. Please state in your application which degree of employment you desire.
