OUR SERVICES WITHIN SUPPORT AND CARE

As a summer temp in Tranås Municipality, you make a significant contribution and build valuable experience for future jobs. You will learn to take responsibility, increase your ability to collaborate, and develop your approach towards people. Within support and care, you work as a summer temp with citizens covered by the Social Services Act (SoL) or the Support and Service Act for Certain Functional Impairments (LSS). PERSONAL ASSISTANCE

As a summer temp in personal assistance, you work with citizens who have been granted assistance in the home. This may involve help and support with tasks the person cannot perform themselves, such as personal hygiene, help during meals, help with dressing and undressing, and support in communicating with others. The role may involve some independent work and 24-hour shifts.

GROUP AND SERVICE HOUSING

In group housing, you work as a summer temp in a housing form for people who have a more extensive need for supervision and care. In service housing, you work as a summer temp in a housing form for people who have some need for support but can also manage many things themselves.

Both group and service housing consist of individual apartments with access to staff around the clock as well as common areas.

SOCIAL PSYCHIATRY

In social psychiatry, there is an opportunity for you as a summer temp to work for people residing in our special housing for mental disability or those in need of support at home, also known as supported housing.

In housing for mental disability, there is access to staff around the clock. In supported housing, interventions are based on needs, such as practicing tasks at home, for example cooking, or planning contact or visits to authorities or healthcare. It is about supporting daily activities out in society and not just housing or at home.

QUALIFICATIONS

For the summer, we are looking for you who have a genuine interest in meeting people and helping them in their daily lives. Important qualities are customer service, flexibility, and responsibility.

The work may involve physically and mentally demanding tasks such as heavy lifting, solo work, and shifts during evenings and nights. According to the Working Environment Act Chapter 5 Section 3 and AFS 2023:2 Chapter 8, these tasks cannot be performed by minors; therefore, we are looking for you who have turned 18.

Good knowledge of the Swedish language is required.

A requirement for a B driver's license (manual) may apply in some operations.

Great importance is attached to personal suitability.

We view it positively if you are a nurse assistant, or if you have ongoing or completed upper secondary education in care and social services, but it is not a requirement. It is also positive if you have previous experience working in care and social services, but even you who lack experience are welcome to apply.

HOURS OF WORK

In support and care, there are flexible working hours; you can work days, evenings, nights, or weekends. In some operations, there is some solo work, 24-hour shifts, on-call nights, and wake nights at citizens' homes or residences.

EMPLOYMENT AND SALARY

Hourly employment with a schedule and guaranteed degree of employment during one or two vacation periods.

The summer period is between week 25–32. The first vacation period falls between week 25-28 and the second between week 29-32. You can choose whether you want to work the first or the second vacation period, or the entire vacation period.

If you work both vacation periods, i.e., w.25-32 with a degree of employment of at least 80%, you have the opportunity for a bonus of 4000 SEK before tax. This is paid out in connection with the final salary. Salary is discussed at the interview or when an offer of employment is made.
