OUR SERVICES IN ELDERLY CARE

As a summer temporary worker in Tranås Municipality, you will make a significant contribution and build valuable experience for future jobs. HOME CARE SERVICES

Within home care services, as a summer temporary worker, you will work with helping and supporting elderly individuals who, due to age or the need for care and support, require assistance at home. You will help and support the elderly through home visits, which can be conducted independently or together with a colleague.

RESIDENTIAL CARE FOR THE ELDERLY

Within residential care for the elderly, as a summer temporary worker, you will work with elderly individuals who, due to age or the need for extensive care and support, require adapted housing. You will help and support the elderly on a ward together with colleagues.

DUTIES

As a summer temporary worker in elderly care, you will have varied duties designed according to the citizen's needs. This may include personal hygiene and care such as showering and dressing, medication management, cleaning and laundry, preparing meals, as well as other daily tasks.

Another part of the work involves activating the elderly, for example by accompanying them on walks to contribute to a meaningful daily life for the elderly.

The work includes maintaining documentation in our digital systems.

Do you have post-secondary education? If you do not, you will need to take a language test if you are to work within the Health and Care Administration. HOURS OF WORK

In elderly care, flexible working hours are common. You can work days, evenings, nights, and weekends.

QUALIFICATIONS

For the summer, we are looking for you who have a genuine interest in meeting people and helping them in their daily lives. Important qualities are customer service, flexibility, and responsibility.

The work may involve physically and mentally demanding tasks such as heavy lifting, working alone, and shifts during evenings and nights.

Good knowledge of the Swedish language is a requirement.

Personal suitability is given great weight.

We view it positively if you are a nurse assistant, or if you have ongoing or completed upper secondary education in health and care, but this is not a requirement. It is also positive if you have previously worked in health and care, but even you who lack experience are welcome to apply.

EMPLOYMENT AND SALARY

Hourly employment with a schedule and guaranteed employment rate during one or two vacation periods.

The summer period is between weeks 25–32. The first vacation period falls between weeks 25-28 and the second between weeks 29-32. You can choose whether you want to work the first or the second vacation period, or the entire vacation period.

If you work both vacation periods, i.e., weeks 25-32 with a work time of at least 80%, you are eligible for a bonus of 4,000 SEK before tax. This is paid out in connection with the final salary.
