We are now looking for a Material Coordinator and Production Planner for our client.

About the assignment

As a Material Coordinator, you are responsible for monitoring material flows and delivery forecasts related to production. You work proactively to identify and handle material shortages and drive corrective actions in case of deviations. The role involves many interfaces where you coordinate between different functions and ensure that critical items are prioritized correctly.

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Monitor and forecast material deliveries to production.
  • Coordinate with planners, production, procurement, and other stakeholders.
  • Prioritize internal sequencing to meet customer needs.
  • Present overall material status to internal customers.
  • Label and handle urgent items in the business system.
  • Initiate and drive actions in case of delivery deviations.
  • Set requirements for internal functions such as production, procurement, and quality.
  • Analyze material shortages and generate statistics to identify trends.
  • Work proactively to minimize urgent material shortages.
  • Ensure that material flows are synchronized and optimized for production.

Requirements:

  • 3–8+ years of experience in logistics, planning, or procurement in a production environment.
  • University degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work both strategically and operationally, from the big picture to the details.
  • Experience in independently driving work and making decisions.
  • Ability to set requirements and follow up on actions with different functions.
  • Very good knowledge of Excel.
  • Experience with business systems, preferably IFS or similar.
  • Good knowledge of English, both spoken and written.
