Working as a bus driver is a social job with many customer interactions. If you enjoy working in service and aim to always make the customer happy, you are a perfect fit for us. We greet passengers on board with a friendly "hello", answer questions about journeys, times, and prices, and ensure that everyone feels welcome and safe on our buses. In short, a positive attitude towards both customers and colleagues should be second nature in our company, and we all work based on the motto that nothing is impossible!

ABOUT YOU:

It is important that you are a confident person with good judgment, as you are responsible for the safety and security of our passengers. You remain calm in various situations and maintain a positive and friendly demeanor. You greet everyone on board with a friendly hello, answer questions, and ensure that everyone feels welcome and safe on our buses.

As a bus driver with us, you need to have a good command of Swedish in both speech and writing to communicate with traffic control and passengers, as well as to report any incidents. When driving school children, you are subject to legal requirements for a certificate of good conduct (extract from the criminal record), similar to staff in schools and preschools. We will ask you to provide this if you proceed in the hiring process.

To work with us, we require the following qualifications:

• D Driver's License
• YKB (Certificate of Professional Competence for Professional Transport)
• Swedish language skills (spoken and written)

ABOUT THE COMPANY

Byberg & Nordin is a nearly 100-year-old family business in its third generation, based in Nordingrå in the High Coast. The company was founded in 1927 by August Nordin, and the operations were taken over by his sons, Gotte Byberg and Sture Nordin, in 1943. Today, Byberg & Nordin is owned and run by Tomas Byberg, the third-generation business leader. His son, Jens, has also been active in the business for the past 10 years. The company has a turnover of approx. 550 million SEK, nearly 600 employees, and a fleet of approx. 350 vehicles.

Our offices and depots are located in several areas, primarily in Västernorrland, Västerbotten, and Gävleborg counties. Since spring 2024, Umeå Buss and Göstas Buss in Västerbotten have been part of Byberg & Nordin.

Our operations include everything from scheduled traffic, on-demand traffic, school transport, taxi, and transport services for people with disabilities, group trips for companies/associations, and express bus traffic. We are also travel organizers for trips by bus, plane, and boat in Sweden, Scandinavia, and Europe.

We strive to constantly develop and lead the way; for example, we were the first in Sweden to have completely fossil-free public transport in Härnösand municipality 10 years ago.
