Machinery/Truck Driver Wanted for Construction, Winter Road Maintenance and Transport

HK Jakobsson AB is looking for 1–2 practical and responsible machinery/truck drivers for our operations in Västernorrland.

We are looking for you who thrive in a smaller company where tasks may vary between driving trucks, operating machinery, winter road maintenance, timber transport, material transport, and construction projects.

About the Company

HK Jakobsson AB is a construction and transport company based in Ramvik/Härnösand.

We work with winter road maintenance, snow clearing, anti-icing, ground and civil engineering works, material transport, and timber transport.

We are currently building on a smaller and more efficient organization where quality, responsibility, and the right people are more important than headcount.

About the Position

We are now looking for 1–2 people who want to be an important part of our operations.

The tasks may vary depending on the season and experience. In winter, we work with plowing, anti-icing, and winter road maintenance. During the rest of the year, the work may consist of timber transport, salting, material transport, excavation, ground works, machinery operation, and simpler maintenance/service.

We would like to hear from you if you have experience from both trucks and machinery. You don't need to know everything from the start, but you must be practical, responsible, and willing to help out where needed.

For the right person, there is an opportunity for a long-term arrangement with varying tasks throughout the year within transport, winter road maintenance, construction, and machinery operation.

Tasks may include:

• Truck driving with a loader crane
• Plowing and anti-icing in winter
• Timber transport
• Salting and material transport
• Wheel loader operation
• Excavator operation or assistance with construction projects
• Simpler maintenance, service, and workshop work
• Other practical work in the operations

We are looking for someone who is:

• Reliable and responsible – arrives on time and keeps promises.
• Careful and takes care of machinery, vehicles, and customers' work sites.
• Capable of working independently but also functioning well in a small team.
• Practical and problem-solving.
• Aware that tasks may vary in a smaller company.
• Committed and wants to do a good job as an important part of the operations.

We prefer the right person with the right attitude over someone who just wants to “clock hours”.

Requirements

• C license
• CE license
• YKB (Certificate of Professional Competence)
• Good Swedish language skills (spoken and written)
• Good sense of responsibility and experience working independently

Merits

• Experience with plowing or anti-icing

• Experience with wheel loaders
• Experience with excavators
• Workshop experience or interest in maintenance and service
• Experience from construction, transport, forestry, or civil engineering

If you have broad machinery experience but lack some qualifications, you are still welcome to get in touch, but for most assignments, C/CE and YKB are required.
