Base Location

As part of Norrtåg's continued development, VR is establishing a new local office in Sundsvall ahead of the T27 timetable change. In connection with this, we are now looking for more train drivers who want to become part of our team based in Sundsvall.

About the Role

As a train driver with us at Norrtåg, you will work together with our onboard train attendants to ensure our passengers have a safe and pleasant journey. We primarily offer permanent full-time positions, but if a casual hourly position suits you better, we are open to that option as well.

You will become an important part of the team responsible for providing our passengers with a positive travel experience, focusing on safety and quality. The goal is for passengers to arrive at their destination on time and to inspire more people to choose public transport.

Your responsibilities include:

• Prioritizing safety and driving the train safely in accordance with current regulations
• Making announcements and providing traffic information to customers, colleagues, and Trafikverket (Swedish Transport Administration)
• Collaborating with onboard train attendants to ensure a good journey for our passengers

Your Personality Traits:

As a train driver with us, you contribute to creating a good and respectful atmosphere among your colleagues. In stressful situations and disruptions, you will benefit greatly from being a calm person with the ability to keep a cool head. You are expected to have good knowledge of Swedish and basic knowledge of English.

Qualifications:

We are looking for you who already have a certified train driver license and experience in the role. We value good references from previous employers within the railway sector. Naturally, you also meet the requirements and regulations set by the Swedish Transport Agency (Transportstyrelsen).

It is highly meritorious if you have experience with vehicle types X62 and X52, as well as experience with ERTMS Level 2 (System E2).
