OUR OPERATIONS

Working as a substitute in Tranås Municipality allows you to make a significant contribution. You will learn to take responsibility, improve your collaboration skills, and develop your interaction with people. As a substitute within Tranås Municipality, you have the opportunity to work in the following areas:

• Elderly care (home help services and special housing)
• Support and care (group and service housing, housing support, personal assistance, and day activities)
• Preschool

QUALIFICATIONS

You should have a genuine interest in meeting people and helping them in their daily lives. Important qualities include good customer service skills, flexibility, and responsibility.

You must be at least 18 years old and able to work regularly. According to the Work Environment Act (Chapter 5, Section 3) and AFS 2023:2 (Chapter 8), these tasks cannot be performed by minors. Therefore, we are only looking for candidates who are 18 years or older.

Good knowledge of the Swedish language is required. Personal suitability is highly valued.

We view it positively if you have ongoing or completed upper secondary education, for example, in healthcare and social care or child and youth care. It is also an advantage if you have previous experience in healthcare and social care or in preschool and school, but even those without experience are welcome to apply.

DUTIES

Your duties as a substitute may vary depending on which operation you work in. Within healthcare and social care, the work involves providing support and assistance to our users. Within preschool and school, it involves supporting the development of children and young people. Regardless of which of our operations you work in, the role includes maintaining documentation and communicating to varying degrees, making good knowledge of the Swedish language important.

The work may involve physically and mentally demanding tasks, such as heavy lifting, working alone, and shifts during evenings and nights. According to the Work Environment Act (Chapter 5, Section 3) and AFS 2023:2 (Chapter 8), these tasks cannot be performed by minors, which is why we are looking for candidates who are 18 years or older.

EMPLOYMENT AND SALARY

This is an hourly position. Salary is discussed during the interview or upon offer of employment.

Working hours vary depending on the operation and needs.

Do you have post-secondary education? If not, you will need to take a language test if you are to work within the Department of Health and Social Care or the Department of Children and Education. If you become a candidate for the hourly substitute position, you will need to provide a certificate of conduct (extract from the police register). You order this from the Police. You will receive more information about which extract is required for the position during the process.
