RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nurse with us at KAVA, you will have an important role in the acute surgical care chain. You will meet patients who arrive via the emergency department for investigation, monitoring, and treatment – often with complex conditions and rapidly changing care needs.

The work is varied, fast-paced, and meaningful. You are responsible for monitoring, medication management, documentation, and coordinating efforts around the patient's care. Together with nursing assistants, doctors, and other healthcare professionals, you are a central part of a secure and experienced team focused on the patient.

We work in a cross-professional manner together with, among others, care planning nurses, pharmacists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and medical secretaries. On-site, there is also a charge nurse who supports and organizes the work during the day, and a unit coordinator who handles administrative tasks such as transport orders, bed allocation, and telephony.

The length of stay varies from a few days to several – depending on the patient's condition. You will work and contribute to acute care.

With us, you get:

  • To work close to the patients on a ward where clinical judgment and good nursing care are crucial
  • A secure introduction period of 6 weeks, including observation within the surgical field, so you get to know the entire workflow
  • To be part of a work group that values quality, development, and joy in everyday life

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with an interest in trauma and acute surgical care, but you are equally welcome if you are new to the profession and ready to dive into something new!

Do you have a sharp clinical eye, a calm head in fast situations, and a heart for teamwork? Then you will thrive with us! You are a person who likes to communicate, collaborate, and take responsibility – and who also gladly shares a laugh in the midst of seriousness.

With us, we consider it meritorious if you have further education in surgical nursing, but we also know that competence grows over time. Therefore, we offer good opportunities for development – including the possibility of specialist training with study leave.

And most importantly: you want to be part of making a difference – every day.

Employment type: Permanent position.

In Region Jämtland Härjedalen, our work is permeated by our core values: we create value for those we serve, act with drive, and strive to always be perceived as reliable. With us, you have the opportunity to work in an organization where these values shape everyday life and where your work truly makes a difference.

As an employee, you have access to a wide range of benefits through our benefits portal. We care about your health and offer a wellness allowance or wellness hours. At Östersund Hospital, you can also train for free at the Zefyren gym and participate in leader-led sessions.

Selection and appointment may take place continuously during the advertising period, so we would appreciate it if you submit your application as soon as possible.

We have an established recruitment process and therefore kindly but firmly decline contact with advertising salespeople or other sellers of recruitment services.
