Climate change, extreme weather, and a changing global landscape are placing increased demands on both agriculture and businesses. The risk profile is changing as operations become more technically advanced, more energy-efficient, and increasingly dependent on functioning processes, facilities, and digital systems. For agriculture, this ranges from drought, flooding, and impacts on animal husbandry and production to new requirements regarding the environment, buildings, electricity, and fire safety.
At Länsförsäkringar Värmland, we have an important mission to help our customers create secure, safe, and sustainable operations. With high technical competence, a strong commitment to our customers' daily lives, and a good ability to build trust, we want to make a real difference in every customer interaction.
About the role
As a Risk Technician at Länsförsäkringar Värmland, your primary task is to work with electrical inspections. The role also includes loss prevention work at our customers' premises by conducting risk assessments, risk inspections, and revision inspections. You analyze risks in customers' operations and contribute with advice that strengthens safety, prevents damage, and creates better conditions for long-term sustainable businesses.
A large part of the work takes place at the customer's site, where you independently plan, conduct, and follow up on your visits. After completed inspections, you summarize your observations in reports, inspection protocols, and other decision-making materials. You also work with electrical revision inspections in Bereko within the framework of the Electrical Board (Elektriska Nämnden).
The role involves supporting our agricultural customers with issues regarding, among other things, electrical safety, fire protection, technical installations, and risk management in connection with new, altered, and extended construction. You also assist in interpreting LBK regulations and actively participate in the company's collective loss prevention work.
In addition, the role may involve supporting corporate customers and business advisors with risk-related issues. This can involve contributing technical competence during risk assessments, answering customer questions, providing material for advisory cases, and being a support in the dialogue regarding preventive measures, safety levels, and investments. You thus become an important collaboration partner both in the customer meeting and internally, where you work closely with advisors and colleagues within the loss prevention operations.
You work independently but also in close collaboration with advisors and other colleagues at Länsförsäkringar Värmland. The role may also include representing the company at customer meetings, networks, and trade fairs.
Who are you?
- You have education at minimum a high school level with a focus on electricity, for example, a high school engineer in electrical engineering, or other education that the Electrical Board considers equivalent.
- You have at least five (5) years of diverse professional experience in electrical installation work, of which at least three (3) years in industrial high-voltage installations or equivalent.
- You have good knowledge of current regulations and standards for electrical installations and electrical systems.
- Experience with inspection work or fire protection work is meritorious.
You thrive in a role where technology meets customer contact and have a pedagogical ability to explain complex issues in a clear and trust-inspiring way. You are self-reliant, structured, and have an easy time building good relationships, both with customers and colleagues. Since the role involves many contact surfaces, we value that you are responsive, collaborative, and business-minded in your approach.
It is meritorious if you are an authorized electrician and/or inspection engineer with the Electrical Board, and have good knowledge within LBK, building technical fire protection, and loss prevention work in an agricultural or corporate environment.
We would like you to have an interest in how new technology, energy transition, and changed operational requirements affect the risk profile for both farmers and businesses.
You master Swedish well in speech and writing, have good general IT skills, and a B-driver's license is a requirement. We offer industry-specific training in areas where you do not yet have full competence, if needed.
