As a Simulation/Modeling Engineer, you will work in the area focused on control systems and primary data for future aircraft platforms – both unmanned and manned. The area includes, among other things, sensors for air pressure, speed, angle of attack, acceleration, and aircraft orientation, as well as how this data is used to control the flight in a safe and robust manner. In this role, you are responsible for modeling and simulating physical systems and software that are part of the control systems. This may involve modeling mechanical or hydraulic components, sensors, or system dynamics, and using these models for analysis, verification, and further development. You work with simulation frameworks and perform flight mechanics analyses to ensure that functions and behaviors meet future requirements for performance and safety. The work is carried out in close collaboration with software and hardware engineers, where models and simulations are used as a common technical basis. You will become part of a new team being built from the ground up. Here, you will have the opportunity to work at a fast pace, with short decision-making paths and great opportunities to influence both technical solutions and how the work is conducted. Your profile To thrive in this role, we see that you are someone who enjoys delving into complex problems and working systematically towards clear goals. You have an analytical way of thinking and like to understand how things really fit together. At the same time, you are independent and proactive. You take responsibility for your work, dare to make decisions, and can see for yourself what is most important to focus on here and now. Since the work takes place in a dynamic context with rapid reprioritizations, you are flexible and thrive in environments where the pace is sometimes high. You are also a team player. You enjoy collaborating, sharing your knowledge, and contributing to an open and non-hierarchical culture where people help each other succeed. Attention to detail and quality are natural to you, especially since the systems you work with place high demands on reliability and safety. In short, we are looking for you who combine technical depth with curiosity, responsibility, and a positive way of working together with others! Requirements for the position:
- University degree or Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering/Electrical Engineering/Hydraulics/Mechatronics/Technical Physics or equivalent
- Interest/experience in simulation, modeling, control systems, and/or control engineering
- Fluency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
- Experience with MATLAB and Simulink
- Knowledge of simulation frameworks
