About Vilhelmina
Vilhelmina can be described as a "5-minute society." It may be a bit far from larger cities, but once you are there, most things are within reach. Within five minutes in the urban areas of Vilhelmina, Saxnäs, and Dikanäs, where we have municipal operations, you can pick up children from preschool, go to work, hit the gym after work, or take your skis/running shoes on the lighted trails, and eat at one of the town's cafes and restaurants. In the mountains, there are facilities that are open both during tourist seasons and year-round, as well as proximity to some of the larger ski slopes in Kittelfjäll and Klimpfjäll. Vilhelmina Municipality is a vast municipality with proximity to beautiful mountains, lush forests, and scenic lake landscapes. We have beautiful nature that invites outdoor activities year-round – and perhaps that is what we are most known for.
