ValueOne is looking for a Strategic Buyer for production equipment for a consultancy assignment with one of our clients in the manufacturing industry in Örnsköldsvik. The assignment starts in the spring and lasts for 11 months, with a good opportunity for extension. We offer travel compensation and support for accommodation costs.

About the role

In the role of Strategic Buyer, you are responsible for indirect procurement of production equipment and associated services. You handle the entire procurement process, from developing strategies to contract management. The purpose of the role is to create a stable, cost-effective, and risk-aware supplier base that long-term supports the business's goals and production capacity.

• Plan and conduct tenders for production equipment and associated services.
• Lead commercial negotiations and be responsible for drafting and negotiating contracts.
• Analyze and evaluate bids from both a technical and business perspective.
• Map the supplier market and gather information about capacity, lead times, and costs.
• Create tender strategies based on the business's needs and market conditions.
• Ensure that suppliers adhere to agreed terms throughout the delivery and implementation phase.

Experience and Competence

We are looking for you who have several years of experience in strategic procurement related to production equipment and/or CAPEX-related tenders within the manufacturing industry. You speak and write fluently in both Swedish and English. Furthermore, you are accustomed to driving supplier negotiations, handling contracts, and conducting market and supplier analyses.

It is an advantage if you have a post-secondary education in procurement, logistics, engineering, or equivalent, and if you have previously worked with supplier development.

To succeed in the role, you are structured and business-minded, with very good communication skills. You find it easy to collaborate and quickly build trust in dialogue with suppliers and colleagues.
