In August 2024, we opened the doors to International English School Österåker, a new school with a clear vision of safety, a conducive study environment, and high academic results.
Now, we are looking for you to make a real difference.
This is a unique opportunity to help shape and develop our student welfare team and the work with support measures at the school. We are seeking a teacher who is passionate about helping students who face challenges and need adaptations to succeed in their schooling.
Your Assignment
You will play a central role in creating an inclusive learning environment where all students are given the right conditions to develop. The work involves that you:
- Support students in need of extra adaptations, both individually and in the classroom.
- Identify and remove barriers in the learning environment.
- Contribute with structure, strategies, and solutions that strengthen students' learning.
- Collaborate closely with teachers, mentors, and student welfare staff.
- Act as a support and sounding board for colleagues.

Your Profile
We are looking for a teacher with a strong commitment to students in need of support. You do not need to be a certified special education teacher; the most important things are your competence, your drive, and your willingness to make a difference.
You are solution-focused, flexible, and confident in your professional role. You find it easy to build relationships and thrive in close collaboration with others.

Other Information
The position is 75% with a 6-month probation period. Interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis.
International English School (IES) is a leading independent school group with academic results far above average and a diverse and energetic staff. Teaching is conducted in both Swedish and English, and the hallways are bilingual. The language of meetings and communication amongst the staff is English.
