About the Company

Our client is a company offering a complete range of logistics services – including sea freight, rail transport, domestic and international road transport, third-party logistics, air freight, distribution, and warehousing solutions. They strive to be a local, creative, and international provider of services within forwarding, sea freight, multimodal and sustainable transport, as well as storage.

The office in Gothenburg employs approximately 45 people in a modern, solution-oriented environment. The sea and air freight team consists of four people who work closely together with both internal and external partners.

About the Role

As a Freight Forwarder in Sea and Air Freight, you will have overall operational responsibility for a number of assigned customers. The role involves daily contact with both customers and suppliers, as well as booking transports via shipping lines and airlines. You will handle the entire process from quotation to invoicing and work in the company's own systems for shipments and financial management. You will become the customer's logistics partner and are expected to act proactively, commercially, and with a solution-oriented mindset. You will collaborate closely with the internal customs department and handle everything from bookings and quotations to exception handling and follow-ups.

This is a full-time summer internship starting immediately or by agreement. For the right candidate, there is a possibility of extension after the summer. Working hours are 08:00-17:00.

About You

We are looking for someone with experience in sea and/or air freight forwarding. You are confident in a role with independent responsibility and have the ability to build strong, long-term customer relationships. You are positive, solution-focused, and enjoy working in a dynamic environment where no two days are alike. Furthermore, you are structured, self-driven, and have a commercial mindset. You appreciate both independent work and teamwork, and you thrive on taking your own initiatives and handling customer dialogues in a professional manner.

Requirements

• Previous experience in sea and/or air freight forwarding

• Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written

• Good computer skills

• Commercial, proactive, and service-oriented

Traveling Consultant:

You are employed by us at DFDS Professionals but work out at our clients' sites. Being a traveling consultant means you are employed by DFDS Professionals to perform work at client companies, where your workplace, working hours, and tasks may vary within an agreed service area. Selection is ongoing, and the position may be filled before the application deadline.
