We are looking for a Sales Assistant who wants to play a key role in driving the store's results through excellent service, strong execution, and great teamwork.

In this role, you will become an important part of the daily operations of the department store. You will work broadly across different areas to ensure a high customer experience while contributing to both sales and operational quality.

Your specialist area is the checkout, where you are a key player in the customer's last impression of their visit. Therefore, it is important that you are outgoing, service-minded, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. You will also support our checkout coordinator with administrative tasks and contribute to good structure and order.

In this role, you will meet our guests at the checkout and actively work with sales through short, effective sales conversations and upselling.

You are part of the sales team in the department store and will contribute where needed – even outside of checkout duties.

What you will be working with

Sales and Customer Service: Actively engage with customers and contribute to sales on the shop floor. Provide good and professional service and ensure customers find the right products. Contribute to achieving daily and weekly sales targets through proactive selling. Use product knowledge to guide customers and recommend relevant products and upsell. Participate in campaigns, seasonal activities, and prioritized sales areas.

Store Operations: Maintain store standards and ensure good product presentation. Perform daily routines to ensure the store is clean, organized, and ready for sales. Restock goods, check prices, and execute campaigns. Assist with goods receipt, unpacking, and organization in the warehouse. Work at the checkout when needed and follow applicable routines. Follow workplace safety routines and ensure a safe and orderly workplace.

Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with colleagues across different departments in the store. Participate in meetings, training sessions, and store activities. Share knowledge and contribute to colleagues' development. Contribute to a positive work environment and team spirit.

The position is a permanent role at 80%. Working hours are varied, including every other weekend. Start date mid-May or by agreement.
