Do you have excellent communication skills, a genuine interest in finance, and want to get your foot in the door at one of Sweden's largest banks? We are currently looking for three driven consultants for an exciting and meaningful assignment within mortgage debt collection.

About the role

On behalf of our client, one of the leading major banks in the Nordics, we are seeking reinforcement for their specialist Collections department in Sundbyberg. Here, you will become part of an expert center that supports the bank's customers when life doesn't go as planned. The department is characterized by an open culture, a high pace, and strong teamwork where everyone works together to find ways forward to secure both the bank's and the customer's interests.

This is a consulting assignment, meaning you will be employed by Academic Work and work as a consultant at the client company. The assignment is initially for 6 months with good chances for extension or permanent employment directly at the bank for the right person.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will initially have a strong focus on proactive customer contact. Your main task is to help customers navigate through economically challenging times through good dialogue.

  • Proactive customer dialogue: You contact customers who have fallen behind on their payments to map their current situation and find a common way forward.
  • Solution-oriented handling: Through a good understanding of the customer's financial circumstances, you propose and investigate sustainable solutions to stabilize the customer's mortgage situation.
  • Documentation: Ensure that all customer dialogues and agreements are logged correctly in the bank's internal systems.
  • Progressive broadening: As you get into the swing of things, you will also work on more complex debt collection cases, debt restructuring, and collaboration with external parties such as Intrum and the Swedish Enforcement Authority (Kronofogden).

We are looking for you who

  • Have a completed post-secondary education, preferably in economics, law, or equivalent.
  • Have experience with customer contact, for example from customer service, sales, or service, where you are used to talking on the phone.
  • Express yourself fluently in both Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.
  • Have good system skills and can quickly navigate in complex digital environments.

It is an advantage if you have

  • Previous experience of debt collection, recovery, or handling within banking/finance.
  • Experience of difficult or advisory conversations.
  • Knowledge of the bank's loan products or credit processes.

A prerequisite for starting the assignment is an approved background check and credit check, which is carried out at the end of the process.
