We are expanding and looking for an Embryologist to join our clinic.

At Gothenburg IVF Clinic and its sister company, Gynecology & Fertility Center, in Gothenburg, we provide care within reproductive medicine and gynecology (including gynecological day surgery). We started our operations about 6.5 years ago in new premises and have since gradually expanded our activities. We are ISO 9001 certified and have collective agreements via Almega.

At Gothenburg IVF Clinic, we perform IVF treatments, insemination treatments, donation treatments with eggs and sperm, and freezing of gametes and embryos using the latest technology and equipment. We also perform hysteroscopic fertility procedures.

At Gynecology & Fertility Center, we have general gynecological outpatient services and perform benign gynecological day surgery. Both clinics are closely integrated, and we offer examinations and treatment with high medical quality, short waiting times, and personal care.

We have an experienced and cohesive team with a strong focus on patient safety, quality, and continuous development. We combine clinical work with an active interest in improvement and innovation within the fertility field.

Job Responsibilities

Gothenburg IVF Clinic is now seeking a full-time Embryologist for our modern IVF laboratory in Gothenburg.

About the Position

As an Embryologist with us, you will become a central part of the laboratory operations. You will work closely with both colleagues and the rest of the clinic's team to ensure the best possible results for our patients. Tasks can be adapted depending on your current competence, and there will be opportunities for further development. You are meticulous and quality-conscious, wish to develop in your role as an Embryologist, and want to help further develop the operations together with us.

We place great importance on personal suitability. You need to have good communication and collaboration skills and be able to express yourself well in both Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.

You need to have good computer skills and be service-oriented. Being independent in your work and confident in your role, while appreciating teamwork with various professions, are also good qualities, as is being engaged, driven, and willing to develop.

In your work, you strive to always achieve the best possible patient care, patient safety, and quality of care.

Employment Details

Start Date: Upon agreement.

Duration: Permanent employment. We apply a 6-month probation period.

Employment Level: 100%.

Working Hours: Our operations are primarily conducted during the day, but weekend work occurs.

Salary: Individual salary setting.

Responsibilities include:

• Handling of eggs and sperm
• Fertilization (including ICSI)
• Cultivation and assessment of embryos
• Cryopreservation of sperm, eggs, and embryos
• Quality work and documentation according to current guidelines
• Opportunity for own areas of responsibility and personal development according to individual interest
• Opportunity to join the donation team
• Participation in the development and improvement of laboratory processes

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• Is educated as a Biomedical Analyst, Biologist, or has equivalent relevant education
• Has experience in IVF laboratory work (merit but not a requirement)
• Has experience in quality audit work (merit but not a requirement)
• Has good experience with sterile work and/or cell culture
• Has good collaboration skills, thrives in a team, but is also comfortable working independently and communicating with patients in both Swedish and English
