Your tasks within the waste management operations are varied. You will, among other things:

• Work with processes in the municipality's waste management concerning waste prevention, reuse, and increased material recycling.
• Handle cases with support from the cleanliness regulations and cleanliness tax.
• Visit businesses and multi-family housing to inform about waste minimization, sorting, and more.
• Work with follow-up, reporting, statistics, and quality assurance related to the operations' contractors.
• Manage and develop registry maintenance and operational systems. Provide certain financial documents to the finance department.
• Coordinate and drive measures and projects in line with the waste plan's goals.

Qualifications

The position requires post-secondary education deemed relevant by the employer, as well as a few years of professional experience in a relevant field. The position also requires a B-class driver's license and good computer skills, particularly within the Office suite. It is an advantage if you have a university education in waste management or environmental issues, or alternatively public administration. Experience from similar roles within the public sector is also an advantage. Furthermore, experience with EDP Future and good system skills are advantageous.

Partille Municipality's waste operations drive and develop work regarding municipal waste responsibility. The operation is responsible for property-proximate collection, the municipality's recycling center in Öjersjö, and drives processes concerning waste prevention, measures for increased reuse, and increased material recycling. The municipality has a regional waste plan adopted in 2021 which guides the operation's work. Within the waste industry, there are many exciting tasks and challenges ahead; municipal responsibility for collection of packaging, textile waste, construction and demolition waste, food waste, etc. Together with the waste manager and researchers in the unit, you will work to develop waste management!
