About the Role
Do you want a meaningful job where you can make a real difference for both society and the energy transition? With us, you are part of a socially critical operation with exciting projects, cutting-edge technology, and colleagues who value each other.
We are now looking for you to take a key role in shaping the future of maintenance operations as Group Manager for Technology and Control Systems South.
We are facing one of Vattenfall Eldistribution's largest initiatives ever – a historic effort to build a stronger, more resilient, and fully independent capability in maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair. In a time when the external environment demands higher levels of robustness and durability, we are taking decisive steps to secure an electricity grid that withstands harsh conditions and delivers when it is needed most.
Responsibilities and Duties
As a Group Manager within Technology and Control Systems, you will play a key role in developing and leading the daily maintenance operations at Vattenfall Eldistribution. You will be responsible for a team of approximately 20 employees. The group includes control system engineers, automation and communication engineers, as well as several maintenance supervisors who together perform and coordinate ongoing maintenance at our regional grid stations (0.4–400 kV).
In this role, you are a present leader who stays close to both people and operations. You participate in operational planning, support daily decision-making, and are regularly on-site at the facilities to create security, direction, and clarity in the work. The maintenance supervisors assist you in allocating resources, prioritizing tasks, and ensuring the operation runs smoothly, while the engineers perform all necessary maintenance work at our regional grid stations.
Together, you will build an organization characterized by engagement, security, and pride, where safety is always our guiding star – in a hazardous environment, we look out for each other and create security together.
In this role, you are responsible for, among other things:
- Leading, coaching, and following up on employees in their daily work, as well as ensuring the right competence in the group over time.
- Ensuring that planning, work processes, and execution function effectively and safely in operational operations.
- Supporting work leaders in their role as coordinators of daily work.
- Being responsible for budget, forecasting, follow-up, and financial control within the group.
- Being active in the department's management group and ensuring good collaboration both internally and externally.
- Ensuring that Vattenfall's ambitious work environment and safety work permeate everything we do.
- A key part of the assignment is to be present at the facilities and care for them through long-term, qualitative, and careful maintenance.
The role is central to our continued build-up of an independent maintenance capability, where you drive development through participation, clear direction, and a strong focus on collaboration and safety.
Requirements
We are looking for a secure, communicative, and development-oriented leader who creates engagement, direction, and collaboration through others. You have experience leading teams in operationally complex operations and are accustomed to building working methods, structure, and culture in organizations that are growing and changing.
You have experience in:
- Driving improvement work and developing working methods and culture.
- Working in a structured manner with planning, budget, and follow-up.
- Creating trust, security, and clarity.
- Building strong teams and leading through participation.
We expect you to have experience leading personnel, preferably within operations and maintenance. You communicate fluently in Swedish and English and hold a B driver's license as business travel is required. We consider it an asset if you have education in electrical power and/or work experience in the industry.
Additional Information
We offer an exciting workday and a good work-life balance at an attractive workplace with great opportunities for development. We work in a safe and motivating work environment with a strong and positive culture characterized by care for everyone.
