We are looking for a Customer Quality Engineer who wants to lead and coordinate complaint cases, drive customer dialogues, and contribute to the long-term improvement of our products and processes. In this role, you will play a central part in strengthening customer satisfaction and quality throughout the entire value chain.
As a Customer Quality Engineer, you are responsible for managing complaint cases in a structured and efficient manner – from root cause analysis to the implementation of corrective actions. You will proactively drive the dialogue with our customers and ensure open and transparent communication throughout the lifecycle of each case.
You will work closely with our teams in design, industrialization, and production, with a focus on creating a shared understanding of root causes and securing sustainable solutions. The role offers great variety, technical challenges, and the opportunity to influence both product and process in a global environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate complaint cases from start to finish, including root cause analysis, corrective actions, and lessons learned
- Analyze and follow up on warranty-related costs and drive actions to reduce warranty payments and field costs
- Ensure clear customer communication according to established quality processes
- Report status and results internally and to the customer
- Coordinate and lead customer visits and follow up on any findings
- Monitor customer scorecards and drive actions in case of deviations
- Ensure customer-approved PPAP as part of "product on market approval"
- Coordinate documentation for process and product changes that may affect the customer
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has a strong drive, takes responsibility, and thrives in a role where you act as the link between the customer and internal teams. You communicate clearly, are solution-oriented, and work in a structured manner even under time pressure.
To succeed in this role, we believe you have:
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
- Experience in quality work within the industry, preferably automotive
- Practical use of quality methods such as 8D, 5 Why, and FMEA
- Technical understanding of manufacturing processes, product development, and technical documentation
- Experience working with customer requirements and handling quality cases
- Ability to analyze and understand warranty and complaint costs, and drive activities that reduce costs and improve product field performance
- Good communication skills and experience in leading or coordinating projects
- Engineering degree or equivalent relevant experience for the role.
In addition to the above desirable qualifications, it is a bonus if you have experience with quality standards such as IATF 16949. Furthermore, experience with PPAP, SPC, MSA, or VDA methodology – or previous experience working with OEM customers – is also an advantage.
