Speech and Language Therapist to Östersund Rehabilitation Center

At Östersund Rehabilitation Center, multidisciplinary teams work with rehabilitation for people affected by stroke, traumatic brain injuries, and neurological diseases. The operation consists of an outpatient clinic and an inpatient department. Team members collaborate with patients and their relatives to create individually adapted rehabilitation with clear goals from a holistic perspective.

Östersund Rehabilitation Center is part of the Heart and Vascular Diseases, Neurology, Rehabilitation, and Rheumatology (HNR) area, which covers both acute and planned care. The unit includes four hospital wards and six outpatient clinics. The area has 5 speech and language therapists distributed across different teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES

You will work with the assessment and treatment of adult patients with swallowing, speech, and language difficulties. Speech and language therapists perform FUS (Functional Swallowing Assessment) and can offer intensive treatment according to guidelines. You work together with other team members and participate in team rounds every week. Counseling for relatives, testing of assistive devices, and mentoring of staff are also important parts of the tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a licensed speech and language therapist with an interest in, and preferably experience of, working in teams with neurological rehabilitation. Great importance is attached to personal suitability. We are looking for someone with good collaboration skills, good ability to plan and structure your work, as well as engagement in patient work and development of the operation. A Class B driver's license is required.

Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 6 months or longer.
