Are you a positive, flexible, responsible, and attentive specialist nurse assistant within dementia who is passionate about making a difference? – Then you might be the one we are looking for!
Day Activity Asken is designed for people with dementia or undergoing a dementia assessment, focusing on creating safe, stimulating, and meaningful days based on individual needs. We are looking for a new colleague with specialist competence in dementia who wants to be part of our core staff while also having a special assignment in the development of our operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Our days consist of planning and creating content for upcoming days, and in this role, you have great opportunities to influence, develop, and think creatively. A typical day at Asken varies but always starts from the participants' needs and interests. Fundamentally, the work involves receiving and engaging people with dementia or undergoing a dementia assessment.
The core assignment also includes: Person-centered care, delegated health and medical tasks, planning and conducting activities, acting as a contact person and representative, and documentation according to current guidelines.
The work is largely independent, but we work closely together in a small team where collaboration is crucial.
Special Assignment – Specialist Nurse Assistant in Dementia
In this key role, as part of your assignment, you should, with a holistic view, be a reflective practitioner with a professional and conscious approach. You should be a role model in the work and contribute to developing and spreading a person-centered and situation-adapted working method with the aim of strengthening the participants'/users' participation and independence.
Your special assignment includes, among other things:
- Being a link between management and staff in values-based work
- Planning and developing the pedagogical work in collaboration with the manager
- Being active in the organization's quality and improvement work
- Supervising and guiding colleagues in daily work
- Supporting colleagues in interacting with people with BPSD (Behavioral and Psychological Symptoms of Dementia)
- Spreading new knowledge and monitoring the environment within the dementia field
- Promoting a reflective and salutogenic approach
- Collaborating with other specialist nurse assistants and professions
You will primarily work during the day on weekdays, but evenings and weekends may occur. You will also work with care and assignments in other operations.

QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who:
- Have completed the Care and Welfare program with a vocational certificate for nurse assistant
- Have a vocational college degree as a dementia-specialized nurse assistant. You who are a specialist nurse assistant in another direction are also welcome to apply
- Have experience working in the dementia field
- Have a B driver's license
- Have good knowledge of Swedish, both oral and written

In this role, you are expected to share your knowledge in a pedagogical way and supervise colleagues to improve the care of our users. This requires that you have security in your role, dare to stand up for your competence with our common focus on the users' best interests.
In the role, you collaborate with other colleagues, which therefore requires good collaboration skills. It requires a flexible mindset to see others' perspectives in the operation and to be able to adapt to other conditions.
To fit in the meeting with our users, we place great value on you having a genuine interest in people and curiosity about every individual. We also believe that you are proactive and creative in planning activities and find it easy to independently plan and complete activities. To take on the task, it is important that you have digital maturity and are comfortable with computer and mobile as work tools.

Working hours: Schedule. Work is currently primarily scheduled during the day, but evening and weekend duty may be relevant.
