WeMind Eviaskolan offers quality-assured and research-based teaching and treatment for students who need extra support in their learning. Our schools are specialized in creating a safe and supportive environment so that previous experiences of failure in the school environment are turned into successful experiences. We work based on the evidence-based and school-wide approach of Positive Behavior Support (PBS). Our student groups are small, and we are an engaged team working together to adapt teaching to each student's unique needs.

About Eviaskolan

Eviaskolan operates resource schools with outpatient care integrated into school teaching with treatment. Through our combined competencies, we make a significant difference for the students who have had the most difficult time in their schooling. Many of the students have not attended school for a long time before starting at Eviaskolan and often have neurodevelopmental disorders. Eviaskolan's vision is to offer an operation where previous experiences of failure in the school environment for the student are turned into successful experiences through quality-assured and research-based treatment and teaching.

Responsibilities

We are now looking for a teacher who can teach our students mathematics and natural sciences (NO). Employment rate 100%.

Eviaskolan applies co-teaching and interdisciplinary teaching where teachers plan and work together with treatment staff. Teaching takes place in small groups, individually, and through practical application. At Eviaskolan, every learning opportunity is utilized, whether it takes place in the classroom or outside. Our teachers are based on a relationship-building mentorship.

Eviaskolan is at the forefront with its work with Positive Behavior Support (PBS), an evidence-based method aimed at improving study atmosphere, work environment, and study results through clear expectations and feedback with a focus on reinforcing the positive. Treatment measures are carried out from a learning psychological perspective, both in groups and individually during the students' school day, and are performed by trained therapists with competence in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Teachers and therapists work in teams around the students.

Qualifications

• Licensed teacher for grades 7-9 in mathematics and natural sciences (requirement).
• Experience of working with students in need of special support in the school environment/study studio (requirement).
• Class B driver's license (merit).

We are looking for a creative teacher who reaches your students through good relationships and pedagogical solutions. To succeed in this role, you need to be calm, stable, structured, stress-tolerant, and solution-focused.

You are responsible with an interest in developing and being challenged in your professional role and are motivated to help start up and develop our new resource school from scratch.
