We are looking for an engaged Swedish teacher!

We are seeking a Swedish teacher for a 60% position. This is a temporary position for the academic year 2026/2027. Teaching duties include:

• Swedish / Swedish as a Second Language 3
• Swedish Level 1 / Swedish as a Second Language Level 1
• Support for Swedish as a Second Language

We are a vocational high school with a focus on both practical subjects and teaching in theoretical and general upper secondary subjects. We place great importance on teaching that suits our students and on relational leadership in the classroom.

Who are we looking for?

At Djurgymnasiet Stockholm, we value a modest work environment where we learn from each other, share experiences, and support one another in our common mission. For this position, you need to be an independent and solution-oriented person. Previous experience as a substitute teacher or working at other schools is an asset. You need to be digitally skilled and well-versed in digital teaching and various systems, such as Schoolsoft. You also need good strategies for meeting students with different needs and a pedagogical interest where you can see and highlight students' strengths.

About us

Djurgymnasiet Stockholm is a small and family-like high school in Liljeholmen with approximately 300 students and 56 employees. Class sizes are 25-30 students. We offer the Nature and Agriculture Programme with profiles in Companion Animals and Veterinary Care, and we actively work to be at the forefront in our field. We have a strong student welfare team and full-time mentors to support our students in the best possible way. Our principal also operates a dog daycare and a veterinary clinic adjacent to the school.

We work with Google for Education and Schoolsoft for smooth and modern teaching.
