Gräsviken Course and Camp Center is operated and owned by the Church of Sweden in Trollhättan and serves as a meeting place for all ages through various camps, retreats, courses, and conferences.

The camp is beautifully situated in nature by the shore of Öresjö. The nearest city is Trollhättan. In addition to a course and camp center, there is a guest cabin and a chapel. The Church of Sweden in Trollhättan collaborates with others to create a place where everyone is included and where people can meet and grow.

We expect you, as an applicant, to share the values of the Church of Sweden and have a genuine drive forward. You will be an important part of a small team that welcomes and engages with guests by creating a good collaborative climate and an inviting environment.

During the summer/vacation period, it is peak season for the operation. We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in food and who enjoys the tasks at hand. The food is well-prepared from scratch and the groups range from ten to fifty people. At Gräsviken, you will also collaborate with volunteers based on the needs of the operation. Currently, there are two chefs and one operations manager. Working hours are scheduled, varied, and include weekend shifts, both daytime and evening.

Working as a chef/cold kitchen assistant with us means that you will

• Prepare meals including special diets according to orders.
• Serve, wash dishes, and clean in the kitchen, serving area, and dining room.
• Ensure that environmental and health requirements regarding personal and food hygiene are met (HACCP).
• Have basic knowledge of workplace safety and take responsibility.
• Have good skills in using IT systems and mobile devices in your work.

We are looking for someone who has

• Documented culinary education at least at the high school level. Documented experience is an advantage.
• A valid driver’s license (B).
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Good knowledge of IT environments including mobile usage.
• Is confident, self-driven, and enjoys collaborating with others.
• Prioritizes wisely even under higher workloads.
• Is solution-focused, organized, and takes great responsibility.
• Enjoys meeting many different people of all ages.

Employment conditions

Temporary position for summer 2026, start date by agreement.
