A security guard plays a central role in maintaining safety and security in various environments. The job involves preventing and managing risks by monitoring premises, patrolling areas, and ensuring that security procedures are followed. The guard often works closely with people and must be able to act calmly and professionally in both everyday situations and during incidents. The work can include everything from alarm responses and access controls to reporting deviations and collaborating with the police or other authorities. The role demands a high level of responsibility, integrity, and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.

We offer work both during the day and at night. Our most common working hours are 06:00-18:00 or 18:00-06:00.

Qualifications:

We are looking for security-conscious, social, empathetic, and positive individuals with an inner sense of security and a natural drive to help. Security guards work in many different environments with very varied tasks - we are looking for those who enjoy working with people and have a clear service-oriented commitment. We also prefer that you can communicate fluently in English.

We are looking for you who can work at least eight weeks during the period from June to August. If you have the right profile, we offer security guard training and an opportunity to step into an exciting and growing industry.

If you have the right profile for Avarn and you proceed in the process but do not already possess the required training (VU1, VU2), we will cover your training! Security guard training (VU1, 9 days) is conducted at BYA, the Security Industry's Professional and Work Environment Board. Participation in this is a prerequisite for employment.

Qualifications

In addition to the personal qualities we are looking for and describe, you need to meet basic requirements to be qualified for the position:

• be of legal age before starting the assignment
• high school diploma
• good Swedish in speech and writing
• driver's license B

You also need to be unconvicted*, drug-free, have an orderly economy, and have good health and physical condition to be employed at Avarn Security.

Security guard training is an advantage for these positions. Other advantageous qualifications include experience in the security industry, some technical knowledge, additional language skills beyond Swedish and English, and previous experience working in public environments.
