Maintenance Technician for the Plastic and Injection Molding Industry

Amcor Mullsjö designs, develops, and produces plastic packaging, primarily for the food industry.

We employ about 200 staff who work around the clock, every day of the week. Amcor is a large corporation with 400 locations worldwide and is a global leader in packaging solutions.

Do you want to work in a technologically advanced production environment where quality, food safety, and operational reliability are in focus? We are now looking for a dedicated Maintenance Technician who wants to work shifts and ensure stable and efficient production of plastic packaging for the food industry.

Our production runs 24/7, which means maintenance is a crucial function to minimize downtime and ensure high delivery precision.

About the Position

As a maintenance technician, you will be responsible for ensuring that injection molding machines, auxiliary equipment, and production lines operate optimally. You will work both preventively and reactively in maintenance within a modern and automated production environment.

You will be an important part of our technical function and work closely with production, quality, and production technology. In your role, you will have a central position in quickly identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues.

Responsibilities

  • Preventive and corrective maintenance of injection molding machines and automation equipment
  • Emergency troubleshooting during operational disruptions
  • Troubleshooting in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Service and optimization of robots and auxiliary equipment
  • Participate in improvement work and efficiency of production processes
  • Documentation in maintenance systems
  • Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment
  • Ensure that work complies with applicable food and hygiene requirements

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a technical education in industry/maintenance or equivalent work experience
  • Has experience from the plastic, injection molding, or process industry
  • Has knowledge in electrical, automation, and mechanical systems
  • Is experienced in troubleshooting in a production environment
  • Enjoys shift work and a varying pace of work
  • Is structured, solution-oriented, and responsible
  • Enjoys working both independently and in a team

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience with injection molding machines and automation
  • Knowledge of hygiene requirements and product quality
  • Experience in improvement work (LEAN, TPM, or similar)

  • 2-shift
  • Permanent weekend (daytime)
  • Permanent weekend (night)

Employment: Permanent
Start date: By agreement but as soon as possible
Requirement: Fluent Swedish in speech and writing
