Your role

As an IT security specialist, you will be an important part of our IT security team, where you contribute your expertise to strengthen and further develop our overall IT security architecture. You actively contribute to establishing future-proof security solutions that protect the organization's critical systems and processes, ensuring that they are robust, effective, and resilient against both current and future threats.

The role includes both operational and strategic elements where you work with analysis, investigations, and the development of security solutions. In your daily work, you collaborate closely with colleagues in an agile team, where knowledge sharing, environmental monitoring, and proactive security work are central working methods. The work spans both the handling of current incidents and the long-term development of our security work, where you contribute to ensuring that our environments remain resilient in the future.

As an IT security specialist, you will work with:

• Design and implementation of security architecture
• Reviewing IT environments to identify vulnerabilities and suggest improvements
• Development and maintenance of security policies and guidelines
• Collaboration with other teams to integrate security into infrastructure and system development processes
• Evaluation of new technologies and security solutions
• Participation in strategic decisions regarding security architecture and risk management.
• Supporting and educating the organization in cybersecurity issues

What you bring with you

To thrive in this role, you are analytical, structured, and confident in your technical skills. You enjoy collaborating, sharing knowledge, and contributing to tasks that require both technical depth and creative problem-solving. You work methodically and independently drive your assignments to completion with a sense of responsibility and good prioritization skills.

It is a requirement that you have:

• Solid experience working in IT and cybersecurity
• A relevant academic degree, such as a master's degree in computer engineering or similar
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• A valid driver's license (B), as it is a requirement for all positions at LKAB

It is advantageous if you have experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Background in networking, server operations, system development, or cloud platforms
• Security in container solutions such as Docker or Kubernetes
• Security aspects within DevOps and DevSecOps
• Security standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, or similar frameworks
• Risk management, business continuity planning, and requirements setting for suppliers
• Certifications in cybersecurity, such as CISSP
• Process industry and OT environments
