What Does the Role Involve?

As a pipe network technician, you will be an important part of our team responsible for the operation and maintenance of the municipality's water and sewage pipeline network. You ensure that Norrtälje municipality has a safe water supply and a functioning sewage system – around the clock, year-round.

Your tasks may include:

• Performing planned and emergency maintenance on the water and sewage pipeline network and facilities
• Addressing leaks in water and wastewater pipes
• Resolving sewage blockages and faults in gravity lines
• Working with valves, connections, and other pipeline components
• Handling service requests and work orders from our Customer Service, as well as managing water meters in wells and inside customers' premises
• Working in various computer systems

You usually work together with a colleague, but both solo work and work in larger teams occur.

What You Need to Bring

Qualifications

• Relevant education, preferably with a focus on water and sewage
• Good experience with water and sewage facilities/land
• Good computer and mobile skills
• Driver's license B (BE/C/CE/truck is an advantage)
• Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish, as some of our work requires high safety standards and it is important that you understand instructions in Swedish
• Good communication skills
• Preferably residing in Norrtälje municipality as on-call duty may be included in the position

Meritorious

• Welding of plastic pipes
• Machine operation
• Certified pipe layer

But most importantly is your personality: we are looking for someone who is flexible, independent, humble, and service-oriented. You enjoy working both in teams and independently – and you thrive in a role where you are NVAAs face to the public.

The work takes place outdoors in all weather conditions, and you must enjoy practical work.

Employment Form, Scope, and Start

• Employment form: permanent, on-call duty may be included
• Scope: full-time, weekdays 07:00 - 16:00. On-call duty outside regular working hours may be included.
• Start date: by agreement
