Network Technician at the Swedish Social Insurance Agency

Within the product unit Communication Data, we are responsible for the daily production, development, and management of the agency's network infrastructure, as well as for network solutions to connected authorities within the government assignment Coordinated Secure State IT Operations. Our mission is long-term and socially important, placing high demands on stability, security, and quality in our deliveries.

Network Technician, LAN, WAN, Wireless Network, SD-WAN, Network Infrastructure, Infrastructure Development

In the role of network technician with a focus on infrastructure, you will work with the operation, management, and further development of the agency's LAN and WAN environments, based on products from the supplier Cisco. You will work in a team with shared responsibility for both the agency's network environment and the authorities connected to the assignment.

The role involves responsibility for an established network infrastructure in production, where changes and improvements are implemented in a structured manner with high demands on quality and security. Handling incoming orders is part of the job and occurs in close connection with the ongoing management and development of the infrastructure.

Automation is a central part of the working method and is used to streamline deliveries, increase quality, and create sustainable solutions over time. The role requires you to work systematically and with a good overall perspective in a complex IT environment.

The position involves handling confidential information, which places high demands on proper management. Therefore, it is important that you, who will work with us, have a high security awareness.

We are looking for someone who

• has a university degree or equivalent experience and qualifications
• has experience in infrastructure development as well as coding and scripting
• has experience in operation, management, and further development of network infrastructure
• acts on their own initiative and takes responsibility for achieving good results
• collaborates effectively with others to achieve common goals
• has good communication skills, both spoken and written
• has a systematic and meticulous working method
• can understand and analyze complex issues
• has good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

It is an advantage if you

• have deep knowledge of switching, routing, wireless, and network security
• have knowledge of SD-WAN
• have experience in automation and tools such as Ansible and Git.
