We are now looking for a strategic buyer for an exciting consulting assignment with our client in Linköping. The assignment is in the area of indirect materials with a particular focus on service providers and other critical deliveries that support the production of Gripen.

This is a role for you who want to work closely with the business and contribute both operationally and strategically in a complex and high-tech environment.

About the assignment
As a strategic buyer, you have overall responsibility for the commercial flow – from strategy formulation and procurement to contracts and follow-up. You work closely with production, development, and other internal functions and play an important role in developing both working methods and the supplier base.

Your tasks include:

• Develop and implement purchasing strategies for indirect materials
• Drive procurements and negotiate commercial terms
• Draft and manage contracts
• Lead and coordinate supplier teams
• Ensure requirements for cost, quality, delivery, and flexibility
• Follow up and develop supplier performance
• Drive improvement initiatives in the procurement area

We are looking for someone who:

• Has at least 3 years of experience in strategic purchasing or procurement
• Has an academic degree in economics or another relevant discipline
• Has experience working with service providers or indirect materials
• Is used to working in a business-close role with many contact points
• Has good negotiation skills and business acumen
• Communicates fluently in Swedish and English
