Malå–Sorsele Parish consists of the Malå and Sorsele congregations. Here, priests, deacons, musicians, educators, administrative staff, and hostesses work with cleaning and serving. Our work environment is characterized by good collaboration, commitment, and a willingness to develop in all areas of activity. We are now looking for two caretakers who want to be part of our team – could it be you?

Job responsibilities

As a caretaker, you will work both within the funeral service and with property maintenance of the parish's churches and community centers. You will be part of a team of a total of six caretakers and will be led by the cemetery manager.

Varied tasks throughout the year, examples:

– Caretaker duties during services

– Grave digging

– Snow removal

– Cemetery maintenance and park work

– Property maintenance

– Machine maintenance

– Supervision of seasonal employees and summer workers

– Some cleaning

In addition to the above, there is a document with other tasks that may occur.

Qualifications

– Confident in yourself and your skills

– Good collaboration and initiative skills

– Experience or education relevant to the position

– Ability to perform tasks that may sometimes be physically demanding

– Service-oriented

– Digital proficiency

– Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing

– Driver's license B, own car (BE is an advantage)

– Preferably machine operator competence and wheel loader license
