About the Organization

At the Assistance Unit, we work together to create security and support for people in various life situations. Here, there is an engaged team of social welfare officers who work according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Act on Support and Service for Persons with Disabilities (LSS).

To provide the best possible support, there are also important functions such as coordinators, housing coordinators, and fee administrators. Together, we create a whole where each role contributes to making a difference.

The unit is characterized by commitment, collaboration, and a shared responsibility to develop the work and ensure a legally secure authority exercise.

Job Responsibilities

Your job responsibilities mainly consist of exercising authority according to the Social Services Act towards the target group of the elderly and persons with disabilities. The responsibilities include:

  • Investigating, assessing, making decisions, and following up on interventions according to the Social Services Act
  • Working preventively and in close collaboration with a cross-professional team
  • Maintaining continuous contact with both internal and external collaboration partners
  • Providing information, support, and service to municipal residents, relatives, and other collaboration actors

Personal Qualities

We are looking for someone who is committed, attentive, and has good collaboration skills. You express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish and are clear in your way of conveying information in both smaller and larger contexts.

You thrive in a dynamic everyday life with varying tasks and easily adapt to new situations. You work independently and in a structured manner, take responsibility for your tasks, and are solution-oriented. Your approach is characterized by service, respect, and professionalism.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Social Work or other education deemed equivalent by the employer
  • Good ability to express yourself in spoken and written Swedish
  • Driving license (B)

Meritorious

  • Education in social law
  • Legal competence in the field of elderly care and disabilities
  • Experience in case handling according to SoL
  • Experience from work in home care

Other

The position is a summer temporary position and individual salary setting applies. Selection and interviews may take place continuously, which means you may be contacted before the application deadline.
