Job Advertisement: Nurse for Ward 16
Ward 16 is a general psychiatric inpatient ward with a primary focus on depression, anxiety, and personality disorders, as well as patients with other psychiatric issues.
We have 16 beds, one of which is designated for voluntary admission. We accept patients aged 18 to 65 years. The ward is centrally located in Kungsholmen with good transport links.
Our team consists of nursing assistants, nurses, doctors, social workers, and occupational therapists. We enjoy our work and take pride in our empathetic, solution-focused, engaged, and skilled team! We actively work on professional development and implementation efforts to strengthen our staff and provide our patients with the best possible care. The Bergen model forms the basis of our approach, where good treatment and low-arousal strategies create safety in both everyday and acute situations.
Job Responsibilities
In the ward, we work in a care team consisting of nurses and nursing assistants, where you as a nurse will be the team leader. You will have overall responsibility for psychiatric and somatic care and are expected to prioritize and delegate tasks. You are ultimately responsible for medication management and care documentation. We use Take Care as our journal system.
Employment Type
Permanent employment. Full-time 38.15 hours/week. Day and evening schedule. Weekend work 2 out of 5 weekends. A probationary period of 6 months may apply.
Qualifications
You have a Swedish nursing license and a genuine interest in psychiatry. As a person, you are positive, solution-focused, unpretentious, and have an easy time collaborating. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

Additional Information
Start date according to agreement.

- Wellness allowance of 5000 SEK/year and one wellness hour per week.
- Opportunity to study for a specialist qualification in psychiatry during working hours in agreement with the manager.

For patient-related work within the Stockholm County healthcare area:
- background checks will be applied before hiring decisions according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for background checks during employment.
- employees who will have patient contact must undergo a pre-employment health examination, according to applicable directives, which is conducted through occupational health services before hiring.
- in addition to a Swedish professional license, good knowledge of the Swedish language at level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) is required. The same requirements apply to non-licensed staff with patient contact.
