Sabbatsbergsbyn is a special accommodation with 106 apartments distributed over 11 departments in three buildings. Nine departments are for those with a diagnosed dementia disease, and two departments are for those who, for physical reasons, need care and support around the clock. Sabbatsbergsbyn is located in central Stockholm between S:t Eriksplan and Odenplan. It is a central nursing home in Vasastan with green areas around the corner. In the Garden of the Senses, we sometimes meet for barbecues, gymnastics, entertainment, and coffee. We are now looking for on-call nursing assistants.

Your role

As a nursing assistant, you will provide good care, social services, and support to the elderly according to decisions made by the care manager. You will help and support care recipients in their daily lives to promote their functional ability and assist with their social contacts. You will be responsible for ensuring that the elderly participate in various activities and receive stimulation for their well-being, as well as offering opportunities for outdoor activities. You will also have contact with relatives, participate in care planning, and social documentation. You must also follow the routines and regulations in place at the workplace. The position involves work as needed during the day, evening, and night shifts.

Your qualifications and experience

You must have:

• Protected professional title as a nursing assistant, or have started the process for this.
• At least 1-3 years of experience in elderly care
• Good experience in documentation
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form

It is an advantage to have:

• Work experience with dementia in elderly care.

We are looking for someone who has a professional attitude towards clients, relatives, and colleagues. Since you will have a lot of contact with people, it is important that you have good collaboration skills. We are looking for someone who takes responsibility for their work and is thorough.

Other

To work with the elderly and people with disabilities in their homes, you must present a criminal record extract. The extract must not be older than 6 months from the date of issue, and you can apply for it on the Police's website.
