The educational clinics and specialist dental care in Gothenburg, located at Odontologen, constitute Folktandvården's university dental care.

This means that as an employee, you actively participate in the basic education of dentists and dental hygienists, contribute to dental research, and are part of developing dental care throughout the region.

Responsibilities and Tasks

At the Adult Dental Education Clinic with about 65 employees, clinical basic education for dentists and dental hygienists is conducted. Teaching mainly occurs in an integrated subject format and in close collaboration with the Department of Odontology. We work with students in a knowledge-intensive environment alongside specialists in various subject areas.

We are now looking for two dentists who are interested in mentoring and wish to participate in the education of future colleagues. The operations are regulated by a cooperation agreement between the state and the Västra Götaland region regarding dental education and dental research (TUA).

Your tasks will include:

• Mentoring dental students in clinical training within adult dental care according to the current educational plan
• Providing students with continuous feedback to promote learning progression
• Planning, conducting, and evaluating clinic-preparatory courses at our Simulation Clinic
• Own patient treatment and development work

Qualifications and Profile

We want you to:

• Be a licensed dentist
• Have at least five years of experience in general dental care for adults and feel confident in your professional role
• Have a genuine interest in dentistry and be interested in mentoring
• Have a desire to continue developing as a dentist and be a good role model for future colleagues
• Want a very varied and inspiring job

We are flexible regarding the degree of employment and view positively the combination of your own clinical practice in General Dentistry with a position with us. (combined position)

We place great importance on personal suitability, which for us means that you are responsible, engaged, and have good communication skills. You have a distinct interest in dentistry and keep yourself updated. You provide the best possible pedagogical support to students in treatment situations and are responsible for ensuring that students achieve their learning objectives. You remain calm even in complicated situations. You have a professional demeanor towards students, colleagues, and patients and want to contribute to a good teaching climate with us.

After a while, we will offer training in higher education pedagogy 7.5 credits.

Interviews are scheduled for the morning of April 20 and April 24.
