Your mission

The Social Psychiatry in Nacka is the municipal alternative for providing services to individuals with mental disabilities.

In the role of residential support worker, you will offer individual support to our clients in their own homes throughout Nacka. The support measures are based on requests sent by authorities and are tailored to each client's needs, making the work very varied. It may involve helping the client practice skills to make everyday life function better, for example, by finding routines to manage the home or finding ways to break isolation. The work is very independent, and you will be out in the field during the workday. The residential support also collaborates with meeting places where the client becomes part of a community, gets to know others, and participates in various activities.

The working hours are primarily during the day from Monday to Friday with some weekend shifts. Evening work may occur if needed.

The role includes, but is not limited to:

• daily documentation
• work with implementation plans
• support in contact with authorities, healthcare, guardians, or similar
• support in the home such as shopping, cooking, laundry, planning, and structure

Your experience

To be considered for the position, it is a requirement that you have:

• Completed education in care and nursing with a focus on psychiatry, or a social work degree or equivalent education at a university or college
• Experience working with the target group
• Familiarity with working based on MI (Motivational Interviewing)
• Very good Swedish skills, both spoken and written

It is an advantage if you also have:

• Experience in pedagogical and/or social work, preferably within residential support or similar work
• Computer and documentation skills

You must be at least 18 years old.
