Mechanic at SkiStar

Do you want to work close to the mountains and be a key person in keeping our operations running? As a mechanic with us, you will be an important part of the operations in our ski areas, responsible for ensuring that our vehicles and machines operate safely and efficiently throughout the year.

As a mechanic, you will work in our workshops directly adjacent to the ski area. You will primarily be responsible for the service, maintenance, and repair of our vehicles such as snowmobiles, grooming machines, and ATVs. There may also be work with our cars and other technical equipment used in the operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform service, troubleshooting, and repairs of snowmobiles, grooming machines, and other vehicles
• Be responsible for daily maintenance and order in the workshop
• Document completed work in our maintenance system
• Contribute to developing and improving routines and working methods in the workshop

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in vehicles and technology. You are engaged, meticulous, and take responsibility for your work. You enjoy working both independently and with others, and you have the ability to take your own initiatives.

Prerequisites

• Basic knowledge of vehicle service
• Good knowledge of a Scandinavian language, both spoken and written
• Driving license B (manual transmission)
• Driving certificate for snowmobiles

Meritorious

• Education or work experience in vehicles/mechanics
• Driving certificate for ATVs, grooming machines, or wheel loaders
• Knowledge of hydraulics and welding
• Certificates in hot work and safe lifting

Employment Type

• Permanent employment starting with a six-month probationary period
• Start date according to agreement
• Salary according to collective agreement HRF
• Work is scheduled and may vary depending on the needs of the operations.
• On-call work according to schedule
