Mechanic and Assistant Leader
Do you want to work close to the mountains while taking on greater responsibility in the organization? As a mechanic and assistant leader with us, you will play a key role where you work operationally in the workshop and support daily leadership. You will be an important part of ensuring that our vehicles and machines operate safely and efficiently all year round.
You will work in our workshops directly adjacent to the ski area and be responsible for the service, maintenance, and repair of our vehicles such as snowmobiles, grooming machines, and ATVs. In addition to the operational work, you will have an extended responsibility as an assistant leader, where you act as a support to the work leader and an important link to the team.
Mechanic Responsibilities
- Perform service, troubleshooting, and repairs on snowmobiles, grooming machines, and other vehicles
- Be responsible for daily maintenance and order in the workshop
- Document completed work in our maintenance system
- Contribute to developing and improving routines and work methods in the workshop
Assistant Leader Responsibilities
- Support the work leader in daily operations through planning, distribution, and follow-up of tasks
- Ensure quality in the work by mentoring and supporting employees in their daily work
- Contribute to staffing and time reporting by monitoring attendance and reporting deviations
- Introduce and support new staff to create a safe and effective start
- Promote a good work environment and team spirit by being a present and positive role model
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in vehicles and technology, who enjoys a role that combines practical work with responsibility for others. You are engaged, structured, and confident in taking initiative. You have good collaboration skills and contribute to a positive work climate.
Prerequisites
- Previous experience in leadership or similar responsibilities
- Basic knowledge of vehicle service
- Good knowledge of a Scandinavian language, both spoken and written
- Driver's license B (manual transmission)
- Driving license for snowmobiles
Meritorious
- Education or work experience in vehicles/mechanics
- Driving license for ATV, grooming machine, or wheel loader
- Knowledge of hydraulics and welding
- Certificates in hot work and safe lifting
Employment Form
- Permanent employment starting with a six-month probationary period
- Start date according to agreement
- Salary according to collective agreement HRF plus responsibility allowance
- The work is scheduled and may vary depending on the needs of the operation.
- On-call work according to schedule
