JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Are you ready for a summer that truly means something?

In your role as a nursing assistant, you are an important part of the workplace. We are now looking for summer substitutes for our hospitals in Växjö and Ljungby, as well as health centers throughout the county.

The hospitals in Växjö and Ljungby provide specialist care for all ages. You will be part of a team that works closely with patients, and your tasks may include everything from taking patient checks and blood sampling to performing dressings, preventing care injuries, and general nursing care.

In primary care, you work both preventively and with acute symptoms. You handle both planned and unplanned visits, making the job varied and challenging. Here, you will meet patients of all ages and with different diagnoses. You take samples, assist doctors during examinations, and also have your own clinic where you, for example, measure blood pressure and perform minor wound dressings.

Work on the wards is scheduled for weekdays and weekends and involves work during the day, evening, and night. In clinics and primary care, you work weekdays during the day. The emergency medical center (JLC) is also open in the evenings and on weekends.

There is already an opportunity to work as an hourly-paid employee before the summer substitute position begins.

QUALIFICATIONS

You are a trained nursing assistant or pediatric nursing assistant. Nursing students, medical students, and those who will complete their nursing assistant training by summer are also welcome to apply. You speak and write Swedish fluently.

Experience from a hospital environment, blood sampling, and nursing work is an advantage. We prefer that you can work the entire summer and are flexible with working hours. As a person, you are energetic, service-oriented, and attentive with the patient in focus. We highly value your personal qualities.
