Welcome to become one of us at Nakterhusskolan. Nakterhusskolan in Vega opened its doors for the first time in August 2020. Since then, we have grown and currently have around 450 students at the school, distributed between preschool and grades 1-6. Today, 55 dedicated employees work at the school.

Nakterhusskolan is centrally located in Vega with direct access to good transportation. The commuter train station in Vega is about 250 meters from the school.
Our facilities include, in addition to bright and well-equipped classrooms, a kitchen, sports hall, music room, craft rooms, library, and home economics room. All classrooms are equipped with the latest generation of Smartboards.
We are now looking for someone who wants the opportunity to help shape the operations and continue building a very good school from the ground up!
Your mission
As a teacher for after-school care, you have a pedagogical mission that should contribute to a stimulating and developing stay for students during the combined school day. In the coming school year, you will have part of your assignment as an art teacher for grades 2-5 and also conduct teaching in after-school care. It is important for us that the school and after-school care collaborate and create an operation that interacts, complements, and enriches each other. You will plan, implement, and follow up on teaching together with the educators in after-school care based on our governing documents. You are expected to be flexible, easy to collaborate with, and solution-focused.
In collaboration with school management and colleagues, you take joint responsibility for all students at the school and work to create a good atmosphere and mood among the students as well as in the school in general.
Tasks as a teacher in after-school care:
- Plan and implement activities in after-school care based on LGR22
- Supervision and care. Be a good role model.
- Documentation, administration, and information
- Contact with guardians
- Recess supervisor and lead recess activities
- Participate in pedagogical meals
- Responsible for leading planning, implementation, and follow-up of operations.
- Work for team spirit and cohesion in the workgroup.
Qualifications:
We are looking for someone who is a teacher for after-school care and has work experience from after-school care within schools. You should be well-versed in the governing documents. We want you to be flexible, accustomed to working in a group, and able to adapt well to different situations and people. You should have good language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written. At our school, we collaborate with each other all the time, and it should be a given for you to want to work in a team.
You are an engaged, responsible, driven, and positive person who finds qualified solutions to challenges. You are structured yet creative and thrive in an active and participatory role in the children's groups. You understand the importance of functioning relationships and good communication with the school's students and their guardians. You are self-sufficient but also value the importance of having good colleagues around you.
