We are in a period of significant change, with large investments, increasing market volatility, and a high pace of innovation throughout the value chain. To meet this development, we are now strengthening our financial governance and are looking for a Head of Corporate Control.
This is what you will work on at SödraAs Head of Corporate Control, you will have overall responsibility for Södra's corporate governance from a financial perspective. You will lead a knowledgeable team and ensure that Södra has robust processes for reporting, planning, analysis, and financial follow-up.
The role is strategic and central to support the executive management, CFO, business areas, and association governance in making the right decisions at the right time. You are a key player in Södra's continued transformation, including the digitization of financial processes and the development of our governance model.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Lead and develop Corporate Control as a function and ensure high quality in monthly, quarterly, and annual follow-ups
Own and further develop Södra's governance model, including budget, forecast, multi-year plan, and central financial processes
Ensure relevant and understandable corporate reporting to the CFO, executive management, board, and member organization
Drive analysis work that strengthens profitability, cash flow, and capital efficiency across Södra
Be a strategic partner in larger investments, business cases, risk assessments, and capital allocation
Participate in the development of Södra's digital economy and follow-up processes, including BI platforms and automation
Strengthen the ability for proactive business performance management throughout the organization
The role includes overall responsibility for Business Control, Group Accounting, Accounting Center, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Application Management. You will have four direct reports and lead an organization of approximately 30 employees.
The position is a permanent full-time employment, based at our headquarters in Växjö.
Who are we looking for?We are looking for a leader who combines analytical skills and business understanding with a genuine interest in people, and who creates participation by being present, attentive, and collaborative. You, who are applying, have deep expertise in controlling and are comfortable in corporate environments, used to working closely with top management.
Furthermore, you have:
10+ years of experience in business control, corporate control, or corporate governance
Experience from complex industries, preferably with international operations
A degree in economics, finance, or equivalent
Documented leadership experience, preferably of specialists/analysts in a corporate function
Good digital skills and an interest in the opportunities of digitization
The ability to drive development – both strategically and operationally
Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex issues clearly and engagingly
Desirable is experience in:
BI tools (e.g., Power BI), ERP systems, automation, or digitization of financial processes
Industrial operations with large investments and capital-intensive flows
Member-owned organizations or cooperative governance
